Probability Words

In short: Probability vocabulary: 18 terms on outcomes, events, sample space, independence, conditional probability, and distributions, each defined in plain words with a dice, coin, or card example to make every problem clear.
Outcome, event, sample space, complement, mutually exclusive, independent, conditional probability, expected value, binomial: the probability vocabulary here is short but easy to mix up. Each term gets a clear definition and an example with a die, a coin, or a deck of cards, so the difference between close ideas is obvious.
Look at it when a worksheet problem says “find the probability of at least one” or asks whether two events are independent. Print the pages for a test review and cover the definitions to check yourself. Telling mutually exclusive from independent is a classic stumbling block, and having both entries on one sheet helps.
