Maths Facile: a math practice app with a Mathbot helper

Accueil » Maths Facile: a math practice app with a Mathbot helper

Maths Facile is a math practice app for Android that follows the French school program from 6ème (Grade 6) to Terminale (Grade 12). A small robot named Mathbot explains each result in simple words.

The app is in French and has no ads and no sign-up. It works well next to printed worksheets, because it handles the lesson, the quiz and the timed mental-math challenge while paper handles the written work.

Where a math practice app helps a printed routine

Teachers and homeschooling parents who print worksheets know the weak spot: a learner gets stuck on a problem and nobody is nearby to explain. Maths Facile covers that moment. The lesson, the worked example and the explanation after a quiz answer are one tap away.

It also helps with variety. Instead of a fifth identical worksheet, a learner can switch to a quiz or to a short timed challenge.

For a teacher, the star rating is practical. You can give a struggling learner the one-star worksheets and keep the three-star ones for a student who finishes early, without preparing two separate packets.

Features, one by one

Learning material

  • Clear lessons with definitions, step-by-step methods, worked examples and diagrams.
  • Worksheets ranked by difficulty: one star is easy, two stars medium, three stars hard.
  • Quizzes of 10 questions with immediate correction, Mathbot’s explanations and sounds in 6ème and 4ème.
  • One test per chapter, marked out of 20, to check understanding in real conditions.

Ten interactive tools

The tools explain their result instead of just showing it. They cover GCD and LCM, prime factors, fractions, percentages, cross-multiplication, mean and median, the Pythagorean theorem, equations, quadratic equations and a unit converter.

The Mathbot Challenge

Ten timed mental-math questions per level, with points, streaks and records. It makes a good five-minute warm-up before a worksheet.

Curriculum and storage

Chapters are grouped by topic: numbers and calculation, geometry, measures, data and probability, algebra, functions, sequences and analysis. Progress, best scores, favorites and challenge points stay on the phone, with no account and no personal data. Answer keys and printable PDF sheets are on the companion website, opened from the app.

Getting started

  1. Install Maths Facile from Google Play.
  2. Select the level, for example 5ème for Grade 7 or Seconde for Grade 10.
  3. Open a chapter and read the lesson and its examples.
  4. Try a worksheet starting with one star, then move up.
  5. Finish with the quiz and, when the chapter is done, the test out of 20.

Good practice for weekly use

Begin each session with the Mathbot Challenge, then do a lesson or a quiz. Keep the test for the end of a chapter and note the mark on your planner.

Use the tools to check a result rather than to find it. Solve first on paper, then confirm with the tool.

Another habit worth keeping is a short review. Once a week, reopen the quizzes you got wrong and redo only those, so that errors do not pile up before the chapter test.

Because the interface is French, English-speaking learners should know the key terms first. Our Grade 6 (6ème) page and Geometry (Seconde) page offer English worksheets to pair with the app.
