Planète Maths: a math app for kids at every level in your household

Accueil » Planète Maths: a math app for kids at every level in your household

Planète Maths is a math app for kids and teens on Android that spans 17 levels, from CP (Grade 1) to Licence 3 (third year of college). A friendly alien explorer named Zyro explains the lessons simply.

It has no ads and no account, and it works without a connection. Families with children of different ages can use one app for all of them, next to the worksheets they print each week.

A math app for kids of different ages

Households that teach at home, and teachers who prepare several groups, rarely work with just one level. Planète Maths places CP, CE1, CE2, CM1 and CM2 (Grades 1 to 5), then 6ème to Terminale (Grades 6 to 12), then college-level years in the same app.

That means a younger sibling can practice addition while an older one reviews functions, all in the same interface.

For a teacher with a mixed group, the same logic applies. One tablet can hold the lesson for each group while you print the matching worksheets and hand them out.

What each level offers

Core material

  • Clear lessons with definitions, step-by-step methods, worked examples and diagrams.
  • Worksheets ranked by difficulty, from one star (easy) to three stars (hard).
  • Quizzes of 10 questions with immediate answers, Zyro’s explanations and sounds.
  • One test per chapter, marked out of 20, to check understanding as in class.
  • Ten interactive tools: GCD and LCM, prime factors, fractions, percentages, cross-multiplication, mean and median, the Pythagorean theorem, equations, quadratic equations and a unit converter.
  • Zyro’s Challenge and the daily challenge: timed mental math with points, streaks and records.

The 17 levels

CP, CE1, CE2, CM1, CM2, 6ème, 5ème, 4ème, 3ème, 2de, 1ère, Terminale, Maths Sup, Maths Spé, Licence 1, Licence 2 and Licence 3. The last two preparatory years and the three college years go as far as linear algebra and analysis.

Profile and language

A profile with a nickname, an avatar, points, records, daily streaks, finished chapters and favorites is kept on the phone. No account and no personal data are needed. You can switch between French and English with the flags. Printable PDF sheets and the books of the collection are on the companion website, linked from the app.

Getting started

  1. Install Planète Maths from Google Play.
  2. Create a nickname and choose an avatar for each learner.
  3. Select the level, for example CM2 for Grade 5 or 4ème for Grade 8.
  4. Read a lesson, then try worksheets from one star upward.
  5. Close the session with a quiz and, later, the chapter test.

Good habits for a weekly plan

Use the daily challenge as a five-minute opener. It builds a streak, which motivates younger children.

Assign one chapter per week, then match it with a printed worksheet from your own binder. The app handles explanation and checking, and paper handles the written method.

At the end of the week, look at each learner’s records and finished chapters together. A quick conversation about what went well keeps motivation high and shows what to plan next.

The program follows French schools, and the interface can be switched to English with the flags. For English worksheets at several levels, see our Grade 2 page and Algebra 1 (3ème) page.
