The jump is 36, so the change is 36¢.

Count up from 64: \(64 + 6 = 70\), \(70 + 30 = 100\). The jump is \(6 + 30 = 36\).

\(100 – 64 = 36\)

36¢

Exercise 19 – Change from a twenty

$8

Exercise 22 – More than a dollar?

Before: \(50 + 30 + 4 = 84\) cents. After: \(84 + 20 = 104\) cents.
